The mission of this is simple: to provide a safer space for those who wish to expand their comfort zone and learn in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Located on Treaty No.5 Land, the Manigotagan flows into the east side of Lake Winnipeg. A Phonetic Anglicization of the Anishinaabe phrase Mannuh-gundahgan, which means "Bad Throat". The place where the waterfall makes a bad-sounding noise in the throat. The legend is that this eerie sound came from Wood Falls, just upstream of the river's mouth. This 5-day trip course includes our Paddle Canada Level 1 Moving Water training and Certification to best prepare you for future river trips! Wild Loon’s most badass Fem, 2Spirit, and Enby Guides will teach you the skills that competent flat-water paddlers need to maneuver in easy-to-intermediate-level rapids.
